Maybe Tonight, Maybe Tomorrow
by Wideawake

I heard the news today. It came out of nowhere.
I wish I could run away, but where would I go?
Is this my destiny? Something so unfair…
What will become of me? God only knows.

And they say the road to heaven… it might lead us back through hell.

Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, we’ll win this fight and bury this sorrow.
We’re so alive, still holding on, not ready to die, so we LIVESTRONG.

My pride is left for dead, as my world gets shaken.
The thoughts inside my head are so hard to control.
I’m staring down the unknown, one thing for certain.
It may break my body, but never break my soul.

They say the road to heaven it might leads us back through hell, so we’re holding on for more than stories to tell. Oh…

Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow, we’ll win this fight and bury this sorrow.
We’re so alive, still holding on, not ready to die, so we LIVESTRONG.
We LIVESTRONG.

Our Live Strong bands arrived last friday. I am proud to say that I now WEAR YELLOW. I support Nike and the Lance Armstrong Foundation in their quest to raise $5 million for cancer patients around the world.

Lots of plans and progress from our end on the preps front. However, we’re still waiting for replies from several suppliers. I really hope that May will be a good month for the preps. *Fingers crossed*

—————–

I watched Oprah on Starworld the other day and I was inspired. The show was about weight loss. The guest fitness instructor said that the question isn’t “Do you want to lose weight”, but “Will you do what it takes to lose weight”. I really got inspired and motivated and so I’m doing several things right now.

I’m helping myself with daily reminders. I was told about this way back in college and so far, it’s working! I printed the reminders and stuck them in that places that I frequently see, like the PC monitor, my desk, my dressing table, etc. Part of the reminders are “I will drink lots of water” and “I will be conscious with my posture”. I also have “I will avoid junk food” – let’s see if that works. So far, it’s really working for me. I hope that this continues.

I now consider this whole weight-loss thing as a war on not having discipline. And each temptation to eat (in-between meals especially) is a battle. Since I think of it that way, I’m more conscious about it and it helps me say “no” to the temptation. I even say “no” out loud. And I really feel victorious. At that moment, at least.

It’s really hard though. Not just the eating, but also the posture. Friendly friends, I need your help here. :) (And that means that Mads, you shouldn’t ask me to have merienda with you anymore. But I can always accompany you to the caf. 😛 And Bunny, no more sharing crispy pata in Congo Grill. :P)

Friends

Really had a good time at Congo Grill El Pueblo tonight! Saw friends I haven’t seen for the longest time! The usual suspects were there – Bunny, Shirley, Alexis, Jovan, and Lester. But surprisingly, Roswell, Kai, and Randall were able to drop by!

That’s usually our gimmick. Food, drinks, kwento. Nothing fancy. But it’s always fun! The company really makes a big difference. Thank God for good friends. :)

I gave Bunny an Alex Franco cake. Well, it was actually for everyone because everyone go to taste. And they all loved it! Happy! Now I’m really sure that the guests during the big day will love the cake. :)

Referrals

Got this idea from Bunny. (Get well soon!!!) Just checked my Sitemeter stats and here are the most recent interesting referrals:

1) On Google: balay kandila + wedding + philippines

-First page can you believe? :) Number 6 in the search results. Well, I’ve mentioned Balay Kandila several times here. We’re choosing between Balay and Dorothy Cuna for our event stylist. I think Balay can make my lava lamp idea work!

2) On Google: fernwood philippines pictures

-First page and number 6 again! :) I mentioned Fernwood Gardens in my post about the W@W Bridal Blowout.

3) On Yahoo Search: Something’s Gotta Give and Maroon 5

-Fifth in the search results! Is Maroon 5 in the Something’s Gotta Give soundtrack? I’m wondering about the connection. Anyway, I thik Something’s Gotta Give is a really funny and interesting movie, and I think Maroon 5 is one of the best new groups out there. My favorite Maroon 5 songs are Sweetest Goodbye and Sunday Morning.

4) On MSN Search: Ateneo against FEU in the finals

-First page again!!! Pero… ang tagal na nito!

5) On Google: wedding avp script idea

-Number 2 on the search results?! I laughed at this one. I am amazed at how Google puts everything together! I’ve written about weddings, I’ve written about avp’s, but to the one who searched, I have no idea for a script yet. How about songs for the avp? I have ideas for that! :)

6) On Google Australia: “camille velasco” “american idol” filipina

-Number 4 in the search results! And I’m not even a fan. :) To Camille Velasco fans, [SPOILER ALERT] sorry to tell you that she was voted off last night (Elton John theme). I heard that she hasn’t improved on her confidence.

Disclaimer: I’m not a supporter of GMA but…

TALO. There’s no way for your candidate to win a debate, especially if unaided.

2) Pwede niyo bang ipa-speech yang kandidato niyo na hindi puro “bayan muna” o tig-i-isang linya lang? Kahit isang buong paragraph lang, yung hindi memorized ha na parang script ng pelikula.

Grrr.
